Privacy notice: Rhinehart Studio apps

The short version
The apps hold no personal data on our side. Page Tally, Good Dog Log and Watering Can have no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking. What you type into them is saved only in your browser's storage on your own device (local storage and the browser's offline cache) and is never sent to us or anyone else. We can't see it, so we can't share, sell or lose it, but we also can't recover it for you.
When you buy, the payment goes through Stripe, and we receive the details Stripe needs to take payment (see below). That's the only personal data we hold.

Mr Rhinehart trading as Rhinehart Studio (a sole trader based in Scotland, UK) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@rhinehartstudio.com. Inside the apps
- Data you enter (books, dogs, plants, notes, dates) is stored on your device by your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
- Backup files you download are saved wherever you choose. We never receive them.
- The apps make no requests to any other website. They load only their own files from apps.rhinehartstudio.com, and after the first visit they work offline.
- To delete everything, use Settings → Delete all my data in the app, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
- Storing app data on your device is strictly necessary for the app you've asked to use, so we don't ask for cookie-style consent. The apps set no cookies.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
When you buy
What we hold: your name, email address, billing country or address and payment status, as passed to us by Stripe (card details are handled by Stripe; we never see full card numbers), plus which app you bought and when. If you email us, we hold your message and email address.
Why: to supply the app and help if something goes wrong (contract, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and to keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c)), which we keep for 6 years. We don't use your details for marketing.
Etsy purchases: if you buy through Etsy, Etsy shares your order details with us as the seller, and Etsy's own privacy policy also applies.
Who we share data with
Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting) and our email provider (if you email us). Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your data. Email hello@rhinehartstudio.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), but please contact us first so we can try to put it right.
