Terms for Rhinehart Studio apps
Last updated: 30 October 2026
We sell to buyers in the United Kingdom and the United States. These terms cover the apps sold on apps.rhinehartstudio.com (and the same apps if you bought them through our Etsy shop). Please read them before you buy. They're written to be plain; if anything is unclear, email us.
Who we are
Rhinehart Studio is a trading name of Mr Rhinehart, sole trader, Scotland, UK. Postal address: Rhinehart Studio, 5 Redhall Avenue, Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, AB30 1NW, United Kingdom. Email: hello@rhinehartstudio.com.
What you're buying
- Digital content. Each app is digital content supplied online (not on a physical medium). It's a web app: you open it in your browser and can add it to your home screen.
- Licence. When you pay, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices for as long as we make it available (see "Availability"). Please don't resell, share publicly or republish the app or its link.
- Your data stays with you. The apps store what you enter only in your browser on your device. We don't receive it, can't see it and can't recover it. You're responsible for keeping backups using the app's backup button.
- What the apps are not. The apps are record-keeping tools. They don't give professional, training, veterinary, horticultural or other advice, and they don't promise any particular result.
Prices and payment
- Page Tally: £7 (UK) or US$9 (US)
- Good Dog Log: £8 (UK) or US$10 (US)
- Watering Can: £6 (UK) or US$8 (US)
The price shown is the total price. For UK buyers it includes any VAT that applies. US buyers pay the US dollar price shown at checkout; your card provider may add its own fees. It's a one-off payment: there's no subscription and nothing renews. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
Contract and delivery
The contract is made when Stripe confirms your payment. You're then taken straight to your access page with the app link, so the app is supplied immediately.
Your right to cancel
If you're a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract made online. For digital content supplied online, that right ends once supply begins if, before you buy, you expressly agree to immediate supply and acknowledge that you'll lose the right to cancel (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, regulation 37).
Before you can buy, we ask you to tick a box confirming that you want access straight away and that you understand you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access begins. Because access starts as soon as you've paid, you won't be able to cancel after buying. You tick the same confirmation at Stripe checkout. After purchase, your access page repeats this as written confirmation, alongside your app link and your Stripe receipt.
This doesn't affect your rights if the app is faulty (below).
Buyers in the US: the 14-day UK cancellation right doesn't apply, but the same fault promise does: if an app doesn't work as described, email us and we'll fix it or refund you.
If something's wrong
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an app doesn't meet these standards, email us: we'll fix it or provide a working version, and if we can't do that within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you can have some or all of your money back. If faulty digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content, and that's because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or compensate you.
The apps need a reasonably up-to-date browser (recent Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Samsung Internet). Please check the product page, which also lists what each app doesn't do, before you buy.
Availability and updates
Once opened, the app keeps working offline on that device. We host the app files on this website. We may improve the apps over time; updates arrive automatically when you're online. If we ever plan to stop hosting an app, we'll give buyers we can contact at least 30 days' notice by email so you can download a backup of your data.
Our liability
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss of data you entered that you haven't backed up, because it's stored only on your device and out of our reach. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Bought on Etsy?
If you bought through our Etsy shop, the sale is also covered by Etsy's terms and Etsy handles payment and any Etsy case. These terms cover your use of the app itself.
Complaints and law
Please email us first; we aim to reply within 5 working days. These terms are governed by Scots law. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can bring proceedings in your local courts. Wherever you live, including the US, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live.
